It’s been more than a month since my last post! Just realized that today. So then, where was I? Were dark and sinister deeds afoot in Gawd’s Own Country? No such luck, ye good people. I was just swamped by stuff at home.
The little un’s fell ill with the flu, one after the other and in a sudden fit of generosity decided to share it with their Mom. Mom had barely stopped sniffling and snorting when she was hit by a toothache which felt like red hot spikes were being hammered into her skull.
With my deep rooted phobia of dentists, I tried will power first, and tried to will away the doggone ache. But the ache persisted. After a while, long suffering H had enough of the groaning and lugged me, kicking and screaming, to the dentist. The dentist did not hammer actual red hot spikes through my head (for some strange reason I had this idea that’s what they did for kicks). She was rather gentle and in fact the whole episode was so marked by a remarkable absence of pain and the offending tooth removed without minimal fuss, that I look back on the whole thing rather sheepishly. After that I was overcome by an attack of what is scientifically called ‘Sheerlaziness lethargicus’
. So that’s what’s been happening. And what with the summer vacations coming up it may continue to be a lean season for posts
.
I did manage to find time to change the look of the blog to sort of freshen it up a bit. Hope you guys liked it.

I don't have any Dentist phobia. But i simply hate going there. At times i used think about marrying a Dentist :D
Hope everything is cool at your end now :)
P.S : Seems most of us in blogosphere are so busy now a days.May be coz of post recession boom or impact.Anyways happy weekend.
'Sheerlaziness lethargicus' - That is something I have everyday when I have to cook :) It just envelops me and refuses to let me move a muscle :)
Good to know that you are better now :) I think we are all scared of dentists for some reason :)
Hi Anish, Marrying a dentist would sure take care of the usually humongous dental bills though! Maybe the blogosphere is taking a tip from the economy and being 'sluggish'.
@ Smitha, I think it's got something to so with the fact that you don't know what the dentist is up to once you are in that weirdly shaped chair.
Glad to have u back intact except for the loss of one tooth :) did miss u...
nd thank u for coming with the perfect word too
:) we can all use it....
Anish that is a brilliant idea...
Hey dreamy dreamer... hope you are feeling rejuvenated after the break! Dentists scare me to death though and I wouldnt marry one in my worst nightmare... imagine going to bed with a guy who holds a drill in his hannds.. the worst kinda slasher movie ever!
Btw, pls watch the bridges of madison county and watch it with your husband if possible, it's available on youtube.
Hi Kitten, Glad to be back :)
@Deepanjana, Hasn't anyone made a movie about a serial killer dentist as yet? Imagine the possibilities! Madison county is on you tube? Thanks for the tip!

An extracted tooth is not too bad, but an attack of Sheerlaziness Lethargicus is a big medical emergency. Glad you got through it. :-)And good to see you back!
Cheers,
Quirky Indian
